My name is Luke Moyer. I have been involved in the arts of performance, speech, and communication systems for fifteen years. I began performing in collegiate musicals my freshmen year in high-school. This spring-boarded me into the realm of communication systems. As I continued to perform I learned and involved myself in the audio technical arena. I had a love for music and digital mixing, analyzing audio waves and creating my own mixes. I took the opportunity to take over as lead Audio and Lighting Technician (or "sound and lighting coordinator" if that sounds more administrative) for the same college: my alma matter.

I was hired for two reasons: first to maintain all live audio operations, and second to systematically organize, catalog, and report on functionality and improvements. Both of these interests and skills have remained with me through the years. Another skill that I developed during this time was budgetary restrictions. I had to learn to produce an adequate result with limited resources. The same pieces of the puzzle needed fit together in dozens of ways to fit dozens of events and audiences.

This experience helps me see many options to achieve the same objective. From installing a PA system, to running the booth of a rock band, to editing a continued education lectureship, to building a website: the best tools to communicate represent a balance of intended outcome with the resources at hand. I hope to keep honing this skill. Each job and each client add to a collective experience which will benefit the next. Stick with me in this experience as I talk about my approach and some of my more memorable experiences.
